Timothy Bradley isn’t buying a Shakur Stevenson vs. Manny Pacquiao fight.
Stevenson is reportedly angling to face Pacquiao on the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua card on December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Netflix is said to want the fight as a double main event, but neither fighter has received a bout agreement.
Bradley, a Hall of Famer who shared the ring with Pacquiao three times, said on his YouTube channel that Stevenson is avoiding a tougher test.
This whole generation [of fighters is] straight up soft. I’m thinking you growing some big balls. You want to face Gary Antuanne Russell.
Russell holds the WBA super lightweight title. Bradley doubts Stevenson would face him on even terms.
Yeah, you can beat him. But guess what? You want to fight him at 135 or 132, probably. You not willing to leap out and test your damn self.
He compared Stevenson to a former rival.
You used to talk so much trash about Tank, but you’re turning right into Tank Davis. This dude is literally trying to make a fight happen just with Manny Pacquiao. Nobody likes this s—-. Manny Pacquiao [is] way over the damn hill.
Bradley added that Pacquiao is no longer a big draw, estimating his last fight did fewer than 200,000 pay-per-view buys. In his view, Stevenson sees the matchup as “free money.”
Pacquiao, 47, has not fought since July 2025, when he fought to a majority draw with then-WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios. Stevenson, 25-0, became a four-division world champion by beating Teofimo Lopez in January. He has since signed with Zuffa Boxing.
