Darren Till didn’t take long to respond.
Shortly after Jake Paul announced Cedric Doumbe as his Dec. 24 opponent in Dubai, Till posted a short message on X.
Absolutely terrified
He added laughing, thumbs-up and rat emojis, and tagged both Paul and MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian.
Till had been one of the names in the mix. Bidarian told The Sun last week that Till was “definitely” one of the fighters MVP had spoken to about Paul’s return, and Till had publicly pushed for the contract. Talks apparently went quiet before Paul picked Doumbe instead.
The choice drew questions. Doumbe is a two-time Glory welterweight champion, but he has only one pro boxing fight, from 11 years ago, and hasn’t competed in over two years. Till won three Misfits boxing fights in 2025, two by knockout, before moving to bare-knuckle this year.
