Jake Paul Sets Christmas Eve Boxing Return in Dubai

Jake Paul will return to the ring on Dec. 24 in Dubai, a year after Anthony Joshua broke his jaw, though no opponent, venue or broadcaster has been named.

Jake Paul is coming back, and he’s picked Christmas Eve to do it.

Paul (12-2, 7 KOs) announced on Thursday that he will fight on Dec. 24 in Dubai. It will be his first fight since Anthony Joshua knocked him out in the sixth round last December and broke his jaw in two places.

Not much else is known. No opponent, venue or broadcaster has been revealed, and MVP said details will come “over the coming weeks.”

I’ve spent years proving people wrong, taking risks and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I’d face. Nothing that’s happened has changed my belief in myself or what I’m working toward. I’m hungrier than ever, and on Thursday, Dec. 24, I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey.

We’ve got plenty of names on the list. Let’s see who signs the contract. Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and somebody’s getting knocked out.

Paul admitted in May that he might never fight again because of the injury. More recently, his team was reported to be negotiating with four possible opponents.

MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian said the comeback shows how much Paul loves the sport.

Twelve months ago, he suffered a double broken jaw against a two-time heavyweight world champion and since then many have doubted his desire or need to return to boxing. Well, he is back, and that tells you everything about the competitor Jake Paul is and how much he loves this sport.

Paul’s fight with Joshua drew a reported 33 million viewers on Netflix. His 2024 bout with Mike Tyson drew a reported 125 million.
