Anthony Joshua defeated Kristian Prenga via knockout at 2:43 of the second round.

But Joshua looked far from the prime unified heavyweight champion of the world he once was. Within the first 20 seconds of the fight, Prenga landed a right hand that rocked Joshua, followed by an uppercut that put him to the canvas.

Joshua got knocked down again before the round’s end, though he survived to the bell, giving Prenga a 10-7 jump on the scorecards.

Those cards would not be needed, however, as Prenga’s volume declined in round two. And in the final minute of round two, Joshua landed a brutal combination on Prenga against the ropes, dropping him and leaving him unable to answer the referee’s count.

Joshua now gears up for a bout with fellow former unified heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury at some point this autumn. That bout will be streamed on Netflix.
