Floyd Mayweather’s 2026 has been a story of fights that never happened but he’s now teasing that his actual next appearance is locked in, and it isn’t the Pacquiao rematch fans have been waiting on.
Three separate opportunities fell through for Mayweather this year. An exhibition with Mike Tyson planned for April 25 in the Democratic Republic of Congo didn’t materialize, followed by a scheduled June exhibition against former kickboxer Mike Zambidis in Athens.
Along the way, Mayweather’s professional rematch with Manny Pacquiao was also called off after he was found to have breached his contract with CSI Sports Events.
It’s reportedly a result of agreeing to the Zambidis fight while the Tyson exhibition was still being rescheduled. It triggered a multi-million dollar lawsuit from CSI. The Pacquiao rematch is now rumored to be pushed back to 2027, with no certainty it happens at all.
Speaking during a Salita Promotions show on the Wynn Records Network, Mayweather said a big fight is coming on that same network, confirming the Greece exhibition is next.

If the Pacquiao fight does eventually happen, it would mark Mayweather’s first professional bout since stopping Conor McGregor in 2017, putting his 50-0 record on the line. For now, though, all signs point to the Zambidis exhibition in Greece as his actual next outing.
