Floyd Mayweather’s Manny Pacquiao rematch will not happen in September as originally planned, with legal proceedings filed by CSI — the promoters of both the Pacquiao and Mike Tyson fights — pushing the timeline into 2027 if the fight happens at all.

CSI filed a legal injunction against Mayweather’s June 27 exhibition against Greek kickboxing star Mike Zambidis in Athens, alleging Mayweather signed a contract stipulating his next fight must be against Tyson. The injunction was served to Mayweather, broadcaster DAZN, and Ticketmaster. An emergency hearing was held Wednesday to determine whether the injunction would be granted, with no ruling issued as of this writing. DAZN pulled the Mayweather vs. Zambidis fight from its schedule following the injunction filing.

Boxing reporter Dan Rafael recorded the hearing and reported the key scheduling development on X.

Pacquiao fight is NOT happening in September. The lawyers said the date for Tyson exhibition is September 12 if they work things out with Floyd. Pacquiao would be moved to January if it happens.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission had previously listed a Manny Pacquiao Promotions event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for September 25, lending regulatory weight to the originally planned rematch date. That timeline now appears off the table.

The situation adds to a turbulent period for Mayweather financially. He has filed several lawsuits this year alleging former business partners defrauded him of hundreds of millions of dollars, while simultaneously facing felony charges in Nevada over an alleged $200,000 bad check to a Las Vegas jeweler.
