Manny Pacquiao isn’t the only former opponent on Floyd Mayweather’s mind.
Speaking on the PBD Podcast, Mayweather said a second fight with Conor McGregor could happen.
I actually think that me and Conor McGregor may lock up again, actually, absolutely.
Mayweather stopped McGregor in the 10th round in August 2017. McGregor returned to the UFC in July for the first time since 2021, but a knee injury ended his fight with Max Holloway in 69 seconds at UFC 329.
Mayweather believes the injury wouldn’t keep McGregor out of a boxing match, though he mixed up the details.
He didn’t break his hand, he broke his foot, right? Okay, well we going from the shoulders.
Mayweather still plans to face Pacquiao again. Their rematch had been set for Sept. 19 on Netflix before it was postponed indefinitely in June. The two are still expected to meet in 2027, with Mayweather, 49, putting his 50-0 record on the line.
Pacquiao, who returned to boxing in July 2025, has been linked to a fight with Joe Cordina on the Fury vs. Joshua undercard in December.
Mayweather has also said he plans to face Mike Tyson in an exhibition before the end of the year. Meanwhile, Ryan Garcia has been calling for a fight with Mayweather too.
