Tyson Fury’s manager Spencer Brown recently pushed back on speculation that the heavyweight has switched promotional camps, insisting that as far as he knows, Frank Warren remains Fury’s promoter and Turki Al-Alshikh is running the Anthony Joshua fight. According to Brown, nothing has changed.
The speculation kicked off after Fury appeared as Dana White’s special guest at a recent UFC event and teased a major announcement. White has repeatedly claimed he is heavily involved in the Fury-Joshua promotion, while UK promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren dispute that.
Fury’s US appearance led some fans to wonder whether he had left Warren to sign with White’s Zuffa Boxing.
Speaking to iFL TV, Brown shut that talk down. He confirmed Al-Alshikh as the figure behind the entire fight.
All that I can tell you, in all honesty, is that we are in the same position that we [were]. Turki Al-Alshikh is promoting this fight, he is the person behind the whole fight, he is the one who suggested the fight, he is the one who put it all together,” Brown said.
Brown went on to stress that Warren and Hearn both remain part of the picture, and that he is unaware of any deal Fury may have struck behind the scenes.
Obviously, Eddie Hearn is involved, Frank Warren is involved with Tyson as his promoter. Like I’ve told you a million times, nothing has changed here. If there is an announcement, then I don’t know whether Tyson has done sort of deal with nobody knowing, I wouldn’t have thought that!
Brown’s comments reinforce earlier remarks in which Fury himself named Turki Al-Alshikh as the promoter behind the Joshua showdown, framing White’s public involvement as separate from the fight’s actual promotional structure.
Las Vegas Venue Could Force A Renegotiation
There is one wrinkle that could still complicate matters. Recent reports suggest Fury-Joshua may now land in Las Vegas rather than at Wembley Stadium.
The location dispute around the signed contract remains one of the few unresolved questions surrounding the bout.
