Ramla Ali will challenge unbeaten Mikiah Kreps for the vacant WBO and IBF junior featherweight titles on November 8, when the two meet on the MVPW07 card at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
Ali (11-2, 3 KOs) and Kreps (11-0, 3 KOs) are fighting with both belts on the line at 122 pounds, giving the winner a unified world championship in the division, according to Most Valuable Promotions.
Ali last challenged for a world title in June 2024, dropping a unanimous decision to Yamileth Mercado for the WBC super bantamweight championship at Footprint Center in Phoenix. Kreps, a 2019 amateur world bronze medalist, has not lost as a professional and will be making the biggest step up of her career.
The fight lands on a stacked MVPW07 lineup. Alycia Baumgardner headlines by moving up to 135 pounds to challenge IBF lightweight champion Elif Nur Turhan, and Tiara Brown defends her WBC featherweight title against Ellie Scotney in the co-main event. Skye Nicolson also returns in a rescheduled bout against Miyo Yoshida.
