Tiara Brown will defend her WBC featherweight title against Ellie Scotney on November 8 in the co-main event of MVPW07, Most Valuable Promotions announced. The card takes place at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas, and airs live on ESPN.
Both women enter unbeaten. Brown is 21-0 with 11 knockouts, while Scotney sits at 12-0. One of those records won’t survive the night.
Brown, known as “The Dark Menace,” won the WBC title with a split decision over Skye Nicolson in Sydney back in March 2025. She’s defended it twice since, beating Emma Gongora last September and Hannah Rapp in June at MVPW04 in Orlando. Before turning pro, the 38-year-old Fort Myers native worked as a police officer in Washington, D.C., and later in her hometown, coaching for the Police Athletic League along the way.
Scotney arrives off one of the biggest runs in British boxing. The Catford fighter became the youngest undisputed champion in the four-belt era with a unanimous decision over Mayelli Flores in April, unifying the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO super-bantamweight titles. She then vacated all four belts to move up to featherweight, making Brown her first fight in the new division.
Brown isn’t interested in the resume. “I’m a seasoned veteran who has been overlooked, but never outworked,” she said.
A Stacked MVPW07 Card
Brown-Scotney sits below the main event, where Alycia Baumgardner defends her title against Elif Nur Turhan in a lightweight title clash. The Nicolson-MVP alliance also factors in elsewhere on the card, as Skye Nicolson makes her promotional debut against Miyo Yoshida in a bout rescheduled from earlier this year. Ramla Ali rounds out the announced title fights, facing unbeaten Mikiah Kreps for the WBO and IBF junior featherweight belts.
