Eddie Hearn: Dana White Is 'Completely Cooked'

Eddie Hearn and Dana White are still fighting over who controls Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua.

The heavyweights meet on Dec. 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, live on Netflix. Since the deal was finalized, the two promoters have traded shots over White’s role.

White claims his team is running the broadcast production. Hearn says White cannot be involved unless he and Joshua allow it.

Hearn went further at Matchroom’s post-fight press conference in Birmingham on Saturday.

To be honest with you at this point, I think he’s completely cooked. What he actually said was ‘we are doing the TV production,’ which again in the contract is prohibited.

On Friday, Hearn released a video compiling White’s past comments about the fight. He said he nearly held it back.

I wasn’t going to drop that video by the way, I actually started to feel bad for him. I woke up to all that and I just dropped the video.

Hearn said he checked with SELA, the Saudi company co-promoting the event.

After that video, I spoke to SELA and I said ‘have you seen this video?’ They said ‘yes, and it’s completely untrue.’ He cannot do that under the contract.

He also gave White some backhanded credit.

I quite respect it and admire it because the front on him is unbelievable.

Hearn repeated the point in an interview with IFL TV.

I went to SELA and they confirmed in writing absolute bollocks. I’m like this guy has absolutely lost the plot.

White kept it short at the UFC 332 post-fight press conference in Salt Lake City. He stood by his claim and pointed to Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford as a model.

I will be there. We’re producing the show. Just like Canelo-Crawford, same thing.

I’ll be there. I’m producing it. I’m promoting it. I’ll see you in Wales.
