The Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua fight looks like it is staying in Britain, and that may cost it the date.
Cardiff’s Principality Stadium has emerged as the frontrunner in the last day, after weeks in which Sela and Netflix pushed for Madison Square Garden while Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn refused to move off a contract that specifies the United Kingdom.
November 20 is the price of that. Fury’s manager Spencer Brown told Sky Sports that December is now the preference.
November and December are both in play but we like December as an option, everyone would be winding up work for the holidays, it would be the best Christmas party in the world.

It’s inching closer and it looks like it could be the British Boxing Bonanza that we all hoped for taking place in Britain. Three venues are still under consideration with Cardiff and Wembley still in the running.
It’s looking good, Tyson has been onboard with fighting AJ since the start and he will fight him anywhere.
Hearn said on Saturday that Joshua had stopped negotiating and was standing firm on the UK, and claimed TKO had gone behind his back the previous day to offer Joshua money to move the fight to America. Fury responded by calling Joshua a coward and asking Oleksandr Usyk for a third fight in November instead. Dana White answered Hearn after the Contender Series on Tuesday without addressing the accusation.
Nothing is announced. Brown’s version has the fight in Britain, probably in December, at a venue that has not been settled.
