Tyson Fury dismissed Anthony Joshua’s next opponent, Kristian Prenga, with a one-line putdown, calling him a doorman, while both heavyweights continue moving toward their eventual showdown later this year.
Fury made the comment to Pro Boxing Fans.
I think he’s a doorman, isn’t he?
Joshua, 31-4, faces Prenga, 18-2, in Jeddah on July 25 in what is widely viewed as a stay-busy fight. Fury is expected to take an interim fight of his own before the Joshua showdown, with veteran Albanian heavyweight Nelson Hysa mentioned as a possible option.
Turki Alalshikh confirmed on June 21 that no date or location for Joshua vs. Fury has been finalized, with both fighters expected to remain active while negotiations continue.
