Tony Ferguson has a new opponent days before he boxes in Miami.
Ferguson was due to face former soccer player Kenzo Biyong on Saturday’s Misfits Boxing card at the James L Knight Center. Travel problems forced Biyong out. Mahmood Sebie, a former Bellator and PFL fighter, steps in instead.
Sebie is 6-3 in MMA and has been knocked out three times.
He is not the only late change on the card. Deen The Great re-injured his shoulder and is out of the main event against Henry Cejudo. The two-division UFC champion now faces Javon “Wanna” Walton, the Euphoria actor and amateur boxing standout. Plinio Cruz and Chase DeMoor were also pushed back two weeks after a minor injury to DeMoor.
Ferguson is 2-0 under the Misfits banner. He stopped Salt Papi on his debut last year for his first win since 2019, then beat Warren Spencer in December.
The boxing run followed a long stretch of losses in the UFC that ended his time with the promotion.
