Timothy Bradley watched Ryan Garcia wipe out Conor Benn and came away unmoved.
Garcia needed less than five minutes to take out Benn at T-Mobile Arena, dropping him with a right hand and stopping him when he got back up. Bradley, a two-division champion turned analyst, says that still does not make him the best man at 147lbs.
Devin Haney is the best 147lber right now. That is who the best 147lber is, it’s Devin ‘The Dream’ damn Haney, it ain’t no damn Ryan Garcia! Y’all was tripping last night.
Bradley said it on his YouTube channel.
The two have history that has never been settled. Garcia beat Haney on a majority decision in 2024, but the result was changed to a no-contest after Garcia tested positive for ostarine.
A rematch remains one of the most wanted fights in boxing. Neither man looks likely to take it next. Garcia is chasing WBA champion Teofimo Lopez, and Haney is pointed at IBF titleholder Liam Paro.
If both come through those fights as unified champions, an undisputed welterweight showdown could land in late 2027.
Dana White said before the Benn fight that a win could make Garcia the face of boxing. Bradley is not there yet.
