Terence Crawford has picked the man he thinks beats Ryan Garcia, and it is not himself.
Per Boxing News, Crawford had tipped Conor Benn to upset Garcia last weekend. Garcia made that look foolish inside two rounds at T-Mobile Arena, flooring Benn with a right hand and finishing him on the restart.
The retired pound-for-pound king has moved on to a different name. Garcia posted that “Shakur is a real one,” and Crawford used it as an opening.

Shakur Stevenson has said before that he is interested in Garcia. Any version of that fight would likely need a catchweight around 144lbs, since Garcia now campaigns at welterweight and Stevenson does not. Stevenson has no date, opponent or venue announced for his next outing.
Garcia, 28, has climbed quickly since a rough stretch. He lost on points to Rolando Romero in May 2025 after a year-long doping suspension, then took the WBC welterweight title from Mario Barrios in February. The Benn win was his first defense.
Crawford and Garcia have been trading shots since Garcia called him out at the post-fight press conference last weekend. Crawford retired last December at 42-0 and has repeatedly waved off comeback talk.
