Eddie Hearn has named the two fights he wants to make most right now.
Speaking on the Fight Your Corner podcast, the Matchroom Boxing promoter picked two of his own fighters. He wants Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez and Jaron “Boots” Ennis to take on the sport’s biggest names.
My dream fight right now is Bam against Inoue. Number one vs. Number Two. Also, I would love to see Boots [Ennis] fight Crawford.
The first one could happen. Naoya Inoue and Rodriguez are expected to meet, with a proposed date in the spring. Rodriguez is rumored to have one more bantamweight fight first, possibly a title unification with Christian Medina.
Inoue is widely seen as the sport’s pound-for-pound best. Terence Crawford retired last December, and Oleksandr Usyk is expected to have one more fight before stepping away. That fight could come against Deontay Wilder.
The second fight looks much less likely. Ennis has repeatedly called out Crawford, but Crawford has shown no interest in returning. He retired three months after beating Canelo Alvarez in September 2025.
Crawford was linked to a possible December fight with Ryan Garcia this week. He responded by saying he knew nothing about it.
Ennis, the WBA and WBO 154-pound champion, is expected to face IBF champion Josh Kelly next. A win would put him one step from becoming undisputed at super welterweight.
