Dmitriy Salita is making Puerto Rico a cornerstone of his promotional strategy, with his third televised event on the island this year set for September 26 at Coliseíto Pedrín Zorrilla in San Juan.
Speaking to World Boxing News, Salita explained his reasoning for continuing to invest on the island, calling it one of boxing’s great hotbeds of talent and pointing to the September 26 card as a showcase for the next wave of Puerto Rican fighters, both men and women.

“Our September 26 card will showcase talented male and female fighters on the rise, including Henry Lebrón against world-ranked Derlyn Hernandez and San Juan favorite Kiria Tapia, who is on the doorstep of a world-title opportunity.
Undefeated super featherweight Henry Lebrón headlines against WBO Global champion Derlyn Hernandez in his first outing since signing a long-term deal with Salita Promotions, Universal Promotions, and Wynn Records.
Lebrón enters at 21-0 with 11 knockouts and sits in the top 15 of all three major sanctioning bodies, but past promotional issues have left him without consistent activity.
He’s hoping this new partnership fixes that as he eyes a world title shot in 2027. Hernandez brings a 14-5-1 record and enters off a highlight-reel knockout win in March that earned him his current title.
Also on the card, unbeaten San Juan native Kiria Tapia challenges Argentina’s Juliana Basualdo for the WBO NABO super featherweight title.
Tapia is 10-0 since turning pro in 2023 and has become one of the island’s top rising female fighters, with a win putting names like Alycia Baumgardner, Bernice Ferreira, and Caroline Veyre within reach. Puerto Rican prospects Ángel Carranza and Caleb Tirado round out the five-fight card.
