Derek Chisora, who has faced both Deontay Wilder and Oleksandr Usyk, has backed Wilder to defeat Usyk in their anticipated 2027 matchup, predicting a knockout victory.
The prediction comes as Usyk prepares for what he has described as a farewell fight after recently relinquishing his unified heavyweight title. Wilder, meanwhile, has been positioned as the last dance for the American as he closes out his career.
Speaking with Seconds Out via Boxing News Online, Chisora said Wilder would “lay him out” and knock Usyk out, citing Wilder’s power and concerns about Usyk’s recent training setup after Usyk’s win over Rico Verhoeven.
