Anthony Joshua has reportedly signed a £10 million deal with Netflix for a four-part documentary on his life and boxing career, according to The Sun. The series is expected to premiere in spring 2027. Neither Netflix nor Joshua has announced the project, and the report cites unnamed sources.

The Sun reports the series will cover Joshua’s early legal troubles, his June 2019 loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. at Madison Square Garden, and the December 2025 car crash near Lagos, Nigeria, that killed his friends and team members Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele. Ghami was Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele was a trainer. Joshua paid tribute to both men after the crash, calling them his brothers.

The Release Follows Cardiff

Netflix is also broadcasting Joshua’s heavyweight fight with Tyson Fury on December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, which means the documentary would arrive after the result is known. At Wednesday’s London launch press conference, Fury promised to blast Joshua out, and Eddie Hearn has since said there is no rematch clause.

A Joshua win would give the series its strongest ending. A one-sided loss would leave Netflix selling four episodes built around a fight that ended badly for its subject.

It would not be Joshua’s first documentary on the platform. Netflix previously carried Anthony Joshua: The Road to Klitschko, a 2017 film following his build to the Wembley fight with Wladimir Klitschko.
